Cleaning practices: We have always followed the health department regulations for hotel cleaning standards. Here are the steps we are taking for your safety: ? Towels, linens, blankets and sheets are fresh washed and stocked in the linen closets. ? Mattress pads are treated with disinfectant before making beds ? Hard surfaces, floors, counters, vanities are washed with disinfecting detergent ? Showers, sinks, toilets, baths and dishwasher are bleach treated and cleaned ? The house is vacuumed, dusted and staged for each guest ? Beds will not be made. Fresh sheets will be placed on your bed so that you know that each bed has clean linens. You will be responsible for making your beds ? We will be using quat disinfectant on all hard surfaces including tables, door knobs, doors, as well as all of the hard surfaces previously cleaned. If you haven’t read about quaternary (quat) is an industrial disinfectant used by healthcare, hospitality and education industries. This germicide is a proven Coronavirus germ killer. We selected this cleaning product because of its effectiveness, safe application in the kitchen environment as well as quat’s low odor and no residue characteristics. We built our dream lake house about 20 years ago for family gatherings and it now accommodates up to 20 guests. High vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, unique Northwoods furnishings, and two stories of windows provide an exceptional view of Big Lake and all it's beauty. The great room overlooks the lake and is used for dining, relaxing by the fire, and enjoying the incredible views. Wildlife sightings are frequent, include eagles, loons, deer and more, and are right outside the door! There is an attached three season screened in porch to keep the bugs away and a wood burning stove to keep the room toasty warm on those cool evenings. A huge deck runs the length of the house on the lakeside for additional seating to enjoy the magnificent views. The kitchen is large and open with a huge island to have your morning coffee or to prepare food while socializing with other guests. It is well stocked with most everything you need to prepare wonderful meals for your entire group. There are two grills outside, one gas and one charcoal, along with a second refrigerator in the garage. There are two bathrooms and three bedrooms on the first floor including the largest bedroom we call Kamp Kid as it has four twin beds with an adjacent bedroom with 2 twin beds. The second floor has two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a comfortable sitting area in the loft that has the best view in the house! The lower level is newly remodeled, has two bedrooms, a huge rec room (with a ping pong and foosball table), sitting area, kitchenette, and bathroom. From the lower level, there is a walk out patio complete with chairs, fire pit and access to the lake. Birch Brae sits on a bluff facing Keith Island and has 29 stairs leading to a private dock. The water depth at the end of the dock is 26/27 inches. The lake is shallow with a sandy area near the dock which is fun for swimming and water activities. There are two kayaks, two canoes, oars, paddles, and personal flotation devices for your use. Big Lake is a 827 acre lake and has a maximum depth of 61 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from two public boat landings, one is a mile away. Fish include pan fish, large and small mouth bass, northern pike, walleye, and the ever elusive musky! Aspens is a four bedroom/two bath home/cabin with a spacious open concept living room/dining room, large outside deck and central air conditioning. The cabin has western exposure on Van Vliet Lake, part of the Presque Isle chain of lakes, from the kitchen and deck, and northern exposure of the lake from the north facing bedrooms. There is a pier to the north of the cabin and a shared pier on the western exposure to the lake. This cabin is part of Alpine Resort of Presque Isle, WI. This booking application does not have a place to collect room tax, so room tax must be added. It is 4.5% of the lodging fee. The cabin is part of Alpine Resort in Presque Isle, Wisconsin and shares all of the common areas. There are 3 kayaks, a standup paddleboard, 2 paddleboats and a canoe free of charge to use. We also have boats for rent for an additional fee and meal plans that can be purchsed in advance, as described on our website. and paid for at the resort. The front yard area has a playgound, campfire area and swimming area with swim raft. The front yard as multiple chairs and outdoor furniture for everyone to use. All cabins are non-smoking and pets are not allowed in this cabin. We supply bed linens, septic safe toilet paper, kitchen towels, dishwasher pellets, dish soap, coffee filters and garbage bags. Is there anything better than a trip up North to reset?! Come enjoy our family cabin on one of the best lakes in the northwoods. Big Lake is a large 900 acre lake known for excellent fishing. It's quiet as it isn't on the Manitowish chain but located nicely between the towns of Boulder Junction and Manitowish Waters. We are 1/4 mile from a bike path that runs for miles and miles. The cabin is a perfect spot for days of adventuring and soaking up the best of nature. There are three bedrooms (two double beds, two twin beds, and one twin bed and one queen bed). There are two newly remodeled bathrooms, one with shower only, and one with tub and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped. A wood fireplace in the living room creates a cozy up-north mood. Plenty of large windows offer beautiful views from every angle. There is a small front deck and outdoor chairs. A screen tent is available, as well as a grill and picnic table. Full grocery stores and great restaurants are available in surrounding communities. Peace and serenity are plentiful. The cabin is nestled in the woods, with no close neighbors. The lake and lakefront are perfect for swimming, boating and fishing. A canoe and rowboat is provided. We are currently exploring options, but in the meantime, to retain the relaxed atmosphere of this beautiful site, there is no television, phone or wi-fi service (a TV monitor and DVD player are provided for playing movies). You will truly get away from it all and know that you have had a real vacation! The cabin has a shared dock and boat launch access you are welcome to use during your stay. The dock is occasionally used by family who stays at the Island on Big Lake, and the north side of the dock is reserved for that use. They won't be hanging out, and the spaces they park cars are separate and away from the cabin so you'll have lots of privacy. You are welcome to use the east side of the dock, and the southwest interior portion of the L, which provides the best protection in case of inclement weather. Boat size is limited to 22 feet.

Overlooking a quiet bay the beach makes for good swimming and even on gusty days the bay is generally protected from the wind and waves.
